With the first auction of the fall season on Thursday, we look forward to a number of exciting evening events to supplement our busy September through December schedule of sales. On Monday evening Swann and The New Yorker co-hosted a party celebrating cartooning and illustration. Wednesday, September 12 is a evening with Rick Propas, Swann's Fine & Vintage Writing Instruments specialist, who is hosting the Big Apple Pen Club, along with any pen enthusiast who would like to swing by, preview pens and have a glass of wine.
Thursday, September 27 we are pleased to welcome Joel Smith, the Richard L. Menschel Curator of Photography at the Morgan Library & Museum, who will speak on Edward S. Curtis, the Modern Humanist Document, and the Printed Page as Art Object. RSVP by September 24 by emailing email@example.com.

In early October, Swann's International Auctioneers partner Artcurial will host a preview of our October 31 Old Master Through Modern Prints auction at their Paris location.

is among the prints that will be shown at Artcurial, October 4-8.
On October 16, we'll celebrate the opening of Swann's African-American Fine Art preview with a 1940's and Jazz-inspired cocktail party we're calling Magenta Haze. On the 17th, Swann is hosting a launch party for Gordon Weiss's new non-fiction book The Cage.

Finally, stay tuned for updates on November and December, as we plan events celebrating an historical American ocean liner, contemporary art, and a very unique group of vintage movie posters!
