Martin Lewis stole the show at today's New York-centric auction, Scenes of the City: Prints, Drawings & Paintings of New York 1900 - 2000. His Shadow Dance sold for $50,400, setting a record price for the artist at auction.
Edward Hopper, Night Shadows, etching, 1921. Sold for $38,400.
The day's second highest selling lot was Edward Hopper's Night Shadows, which brought $38,400. Among the top 10 grossing lots for the day, Martin Lewis works filled seven of the 10 slots. 
Martin Lewis, Stoops in the Snow, drypoint and sandpaper ground, 1930. Sold for $33,600.
