George Washington, Letter Signed, "G:Washington," as Commander-in-Chief, "Head Quarters / New Windsor," 22 Decem[be]r 1780. Estimate: $25,000 to 35,000.
"I had, two days ago, directed a very liberal allowance of all kind of Cloathing (except Coats of which he got about 200 very good) to be delivered to your State Cloathier, for the four Regiments near Albany."
A document signed "Stuart & Lincoln," by Abraham Lincoln when he was a young attorney, is also a noteworthy item, as Lincoln drafted this document only three months after receiving his license to practice law. Read more about the presidential autographs here.
