The April 27th Old Master Through Modern Prints auction at Swann features Camille Pissarro's chef d'oeuvre, Effet de pluie, an extremely rare etching and aquatint from the French Impressionist. There exists only 8 to 10 lifetime impressions from the sixth state (of 6) of this superb, beautifully printed impression of this extremely scarce masterpiece of Impressionist printmaking.
