On Thursday, April 8th, Nigel Freeman, Director of Swann's African-American Fine Art department, will be speaking at the Brooklyn Museum's "Collecting Currently" art salon series.
"Collecting African American Art" will be moderated by Theresa Carbone, Andrew W. Mellon Curator of American Art at the Brooklyn Museum. Joining Nigel will be Corrine Jennings, co-founder of the gallery Kenkeleba House, Michael Rosenfeld of Michael Rosenfeld Gallery, and Dr. Halima Taha, author of Collecting African American Art: Works on Paper and Canvas.
