Swann's African-American Fine Art Auction on Lindsay Pollock's Website

Journalist Lindsay Pollock's recent post, "Harlem Renaissance to Hammons at Swann", previews highlights in our February 23 African-American Fine Art auction. Check out her blog, Art Market Views, for other breaking news and analysis and with an insider's perspective on the art industry.

The auction will feature Barkley L. Hendricks’s Jackie Sha-La-La, 1975 (above), the artist’s second significant figurative work to come to auction, and a great example of his 1970s life-sized representations of young, hip models and friends (estimate: $40,000 to $60,000).
